    There are only 2 steps to setup the PackageMapping.com Tracking Program on your web site.  It usually only takes a few minutes.  Let's begin!

After purchasing a subscription, you should have received an e-mail with a link to activate your Access Key.  Once you activate it, you will receive your Access Key.  It will look similar to the one below:

    Access Key: ytc7z2755v2tgzy8875py7csy053dxc7

STEP 1:

    On each page that you want the PackageMapping.com Tracking Program to be displayed, you must place the following code on that page:

<script language="JavaScript" src="http://include.packagemapping.com/?access_key=ytc7z2755v2tgzy8875py7csy053dxc7&width=100%&height=800px"></script><noscript>JavaScript is turned off in your web browser. Turn it on to be able to use this site, then refresh the page.</noscript>

In the above example, replace ytc7z2755v2tgzy8875py7csy053dxc7 with your own Access Key.

STEP 2:

Here we will discuss customizing the Tracking Program.

    Once you have the basic HTML code setup on your web site, you should notice the Tracking Program is working with the default settings.  (Looking much like it does on the PackageMapping.com web site.)  But, say you want to hide the carrier logos or you only provide service for certain carriers.  You can make these changes by logging in or registering for a username at the www.PackageMapping.com web site.

    Simply go to http://www.PackageMapping.com and up at the top right hand corner of the page there is a link to either Login or Register.  If you already have a login username, please skip the next paragraph.

    If you do NOT have a login username, then click the Register link and create yourself a username and password.  The username and E-mail must be unique from other registered members.  Once you have registered, you can login.

    After you login, you will be taken to your Control Panel.  From there, click on "Update My Profile".  At the bottom of the screen under "Paid Subscribers Only", enter the Activation Number you received in an e-mail from PackageMapping.com.

    This will add the Access Key into your "My Access Key List" section of the Control Panel.  You will now be taken back to the Control Panel.  Click on "View My Access Key List".  You should see your Access Key and some statistics.

    Next, click on your Access Key (it will be a link).  This will take you to the "Change Access Key Settings" page.  From there you can change certain aspects or settings.  Any saved changes will appear immediately on your web site viewable by your customers.  You will also have two links at the top of the page.  One for "Example Layouts" and one for "Example Web Sites".  You can use these for ideas and to help you set up your own web site.

    Repeat the steps for adding your Access Key to your profile if you received additional Activation Numbers.

    Certain carriers such as Canada Post will require you to follow STEP 3 before the carrier will be enabled.  This is because some carriers are not widely used by all customers and are disabled by default.  To enable them, all you have to do is follow STEP 3 so that you have the ability to enable/disable the carrier from that point forward.  Removing your Access Key from your Member account will disable these carriers.

    That's It! You're all done!

STEP 4 (Advanced):

Here we will discuss advanced customizing of the Tracking Program.  This is not required and is only for those customers with advanced needs.

If you would like to load a tracking number automatically, you can pass it to the Tracking Program like this:

access_key=ytc7z2755v2tgzy8875py7csy053dxc7&action=track&tracknum=1Z12345E1512345676&shipper=ups

          In the above example, replace ytc7z2755v2tgzy8875py7csy053dxc7 with your own Access Key.

You can choose from:

shipper=ups
shipper=usps
shipper=fedex
shipper=dhl
shipper=dhlgm
shipper=upsmi
shipper=mailexpress
shipper=canadapost
shipper=purolator
shipper=ontrac
shipper=speedee

If you don't know which shipping company the tracking number belongs to, omit "&shipper=".  The Tracking Program will automatically

 determine the shipping company.  But, it is always best to pass it to the program if you know it.

Please make all URL's lowercase.

Please note, any settings made within your Member Control Panel will override settings passed in from the URL!
